The first website / 2024
Beethoven week
It started with a school project. And a blank HTML file.
The starting question
What can you make from a school week and a blank HTML file?
A website about Beethoven, made for a school project week in 2024. I wrote the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript by hand. The original is still hosted on the school’s domain.
HTML / CSS / JavaScript
Concept study, not a product screenshot.
Inside the work
The details behind the interfaceLearning by making
Pages, navigation, styling, and interaction: the first time I put the pieces together into a website people could actually visit.
The original stays
A biography, a timeline, music, and a quiz. This is the site as it began, kept in its original home rather than redesigned to match the portfolio.
The thread that carries through
The first useful lesson was putting the pieces together: pages, navigation, styling, and interaction in something people could visit.
