Science week website / 2025–26

DSIWOW

A week of ideas. A home for all of them.

02

The starting question

How do you give a week of ideas a home that lasts beyond the event?

The website for WOW, the science week at Deutsche Schule Istanbul. Speakers, schedules, photographs, and past editions, brought together in Turkish, German, and English.

Next.js / TypeScript / Tailwind CSS / next-intl

The live DSIWOW 2026 homepage with its blue science imagery, programme and speaker links, and Turkish navigation

The completed edition stays visible. The programme and speakers are direct entry points, while earlier editions remain in the navigation.

01

Useful before beautiful

Visitors need to find a speaker, check the programme, or look back at an earlier edition. The site gives each of those tasks a clear place, with mobile navigation built around the event’s content.

02

One event, three languages

Localized routes and translated content keep the same information accessible in three languages. Shared components give the speaker pages, programme, and gallery a consistent structure.

03

After the last talk

An event website should remain useful when the event is over. The completed edition stays available alongside previous speakers and photographs, giving the week a life beyond its dates.

The thread that carries through

An event website has two lives: helping people find their way during the week, and keeping its people and ideas accessible afterwards.
